Starting today with the killer Cassolette 7" out now on Cloudberry - "Stay Heavy" b/w the also excellent "Two Candles", plus you will be able to get some other joy from their bandcamp.

Aural Burrows come to us via San Antonio Texas, "You Don't Have to Go" from the 'Crescent Moon" ep, a follow up to the previous "Gravitation", a wander over to bandcamp could very well see you quickly downloading both eps for free.

Pure Bathing Culture is the work of Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindamn, former Brooklyners who now reside in Portland. Their debut ep ( including "Ivory Coast" ) will be out on May 22nd via Father/Daughter Records ( available now for pre-order )

Wallflower are from Osaka, "Cure Your Heart" will be out

in early June

on their debut 6 track ep called "Filled With Flowers" via Fastcut Records

Swedish faves Boa Constrictor are back with "Plush" from their "On My To Die" ep which can sling them a couple of bucks for at their bandcamp. It's also their first recordings with Elin on lead vocals, Amanda having left ( sadly ) after "Your Voice was Like Bowies"

More Ireland this time too, in the shape of Dublin's The Crayon Set, who released a self titled ( free ) ep late last year, the tracks from which you can download on their Soundcloud, they have also recorded their debut album, which will be out sometime ( soon I expect ) this year

Splashh are a duo from London, with a few offerings on their Soundcloud, plus a murmurs and rumours about a ( full album ) release later this year via Art is Hard Records

Canada's Sleuth I hope you know from ( and own a copy of ! ) their "Brave Knew Nothing ep" from last year ( they also appeared on the last Cloudberry fanzine )...you know all this I'm sure !! The track today is from some radio sessions they did in jan of this year for CiTR in Vancouver, available on their Bandcamp, as is the digi version of Brave Knew Nothing, the physical cassettes now all sold ( including the 16 copy only re-issue. 16 only ?!?? ha ha I love It )

Star Tropics I dunno a lot about - other than they are from Chicago and a have a few demos up on their Soundcloud, and that I heard them via from long time listener Jose Antonio, that's all I know !! Enlighten me if you will :)

The Gentle Isolation are one the many great Filipino pop bands around at the mo, and they are apparentely re-releasing their prev Lilystars ep "It Started With an April Shower" via Dufflecoat soon ( in a limited edition of 50 ). I already have this via iTunes but will get physical product as well ( gotta love "physical" ). The Andy B ( from the UK ) song we play today is also an upcoming split ep on Dufflecoat ( with Sex Sux from Indonesia ).

The Ice Cream Shout track was a demo mix of an upcoming song from their next release, released to co-incide with a recent gig they played. All abit sketchy on this next release of theirs, I will let you know how and where to get it as soon as I can :)

Barcelona's Coach Station Reunion have released a 7" ep on a tiny label called Discos de Kirlian, the label's 2nd ep. They will also be part of a 4 label special split release for Record Store Day 2012 - including a Sundae track.

Blooper are a trio from Seattle, you can grab their excellent "Ballard Avenue" ep over on their Bandcamp.

PINS are from Manchester, Eleventh Hour from a now sold out ( dammit ) 3 track cassette, more to come from this mob for sure

and finally this mix would not be complete without some Indonesian shoegaze, another track via Bah! Records, the band Kapsul, from an ep with the excellent title "A Typical Moment You Would Be Happy To Put On Repeat" - the ep also featuring Silent Love - side project of Ganesha from Funny Little Dream, who we've played before and also have a 4 track ep called "Painted Smile" coming out on Dufflecoat.

Humans Beware Archives are up

After several requests from long time listeners, I've re-upped all the old Humans Beware podcasts I did - ie the forerunner of this blog - on the "Humans Beware Archives" Blog ; as you may or not know the old blog was yanked off by someone with copyright issues....so I'm putting up all the non offending posts again ( so not all mixes will be up )

Meantime here's a little clip to enjoy of Dusken Lights ( from Sydney ) ( ex Rabbits Wedding members) from their CD single, which you can buy on iTunes or from the bands website ...enjoy

"Little Shelley's Bottom Is The Top" - Dusken Lights

Everything Alright! mix #11

Lots to get thru today, the mix is here and the tracklist below :)

Back with more, starting with some fabulous Fins, Paperfangs who describe themselves on their artwork as 'a brother a sister & friend', their "AAVVAV" ep being a comp of work from 2010-2012 recorded in Tampere & Helsinki, you can buy it in either digi-form or cassette ( preorder ) from their bandcamp page

Then we pay our first ever visit to Caerphilly in South Wales and the work of Bradley Clarke alias hehfu. there was also an album out late last year via Bleeding Gold Records ( also now available via ITunes )

Then back over to more to the more oft visted territory of Gothenburg, with Alpaca Sports whose 7" will be out on March 21 as a co-release with Luxury ( Sweden ) and the ever great Dufflecoat, and then we have 2 songs from Cave Cat who have released 2 free d/l singles in the last month, - both singles available as d/l on their soundcloud page.

Staying in Sweden the Pale Corners song is a new single coming out on a Swedish label called Since Records.

The Birthday Kiss ( outa Leeds ) released 'Choking' as their debut ( free d/l ) single on Valentine's day ( get it on their bandcamp ) - something about this band reminds me of a few old Sydney bands like The Skolars or The Sparklers, especailly Sarah ( the singer's voice), seems they're working on more tracks for an album at the mo.

Tiny Fireflies we know and love and 'Picture Perfect" is from an upcoming Cloudberry split 3" ( with Lily of The Valley ) and also any day now the Cassolette 7" should be out there as well :)

Coastal Cities are from High Wycombe and released their first ep "thinktank" late last year - as an iTunes thang, "Relief" is a an earlier demo track not on the ep

Lazysofia are Indonesian and so far have had one ep on Bah! Records - who have also put out stuff by Annemarie & Palmz among other tasty treats

Fig Newlies were/are from Canberra ( "our nations capital" here in Australia ) and had a Dufflecoat ep ( sold out sadly ) and a cassette on Dream Damage - however I think the band may have split ??

Colour Me Wednesday are a 4 piece who ( it seems ) live in Hillingdon and Peckham, London, have had one ep out, and seem to be in at all for the love of music, which ya gotta love, some songs to check out on their soundcloud :)

Next stop on our whistlestop tour is Colm Dawson, Dublin, Ireland for Goodly Thousands, jangly pop fiends, 3 piece with more songs to check out on their soundcloud.

Then it's great to hear Je Suis again - where have they been ????? "Tale From The Sea" is from the "Tweest and Shout" 10 year birthday comp on Perfect Pop records from Norway, easiset way to buy the tracks for me was via ye olde iTunes.

And last by but no means least is Novella, whose 2nd release on Italian Beach Babes will be out and about on March 19

Everything Alright! mix #10

A new mix for you to hear today....

Meantime happy to say that the The Holiday Crowd Mini-LP "Over The Bluffs" is officially out now from both our good friends at Shelflife, and a Canadian label New Romantic, here's a clip for Pennies Found from the LP :)

Now, done to the nitty gritty of who and what's on today's mix -

Sci-Fi Caper from Fresno have 2 free download eps, "Skeleton Tracks" ( where "Bloom Like Roses" comes from ) and "In The Garage" which is a 'recorded practice session', ( no doubt in their garage ).

Model Railway Exhibition are a 3 piece from London and you can grab their "Jennifer's Brother" cassette/download ( out via Verulamium Records ) from their bandcamp ( only 2 pounds but worth more !! ).

Obedient Wives Club are from Singapore and had a 3" cdr out via Happy Teardrop Music ( 80 only, long sold out ) but the 4 songs from the ep and a bonus song are for sale on the band's Bandcamp.

Bit of Dufflecoat related news - the Sunny Street/Kuraykin split is out out now - both sides brilliant songs, "Hungry Hippo's" being from there. There are recent releases from Astrolab & Watoo Watoo as well and I'm spreading the rumour here and now that We.The Pigs will be coming out on a future split, which is exciting news.

Burning Hearts will release their "Extinctions" album on Feb 1 ( yes next week !!! ) via the Finnish label Solina Records ( & eventually on Shelflife I believe ). Meantime "Burn Burn Burn" is a single from the album which you can pick up via the Finnish iTunes ( if you're allowed from your country ).

The Sundae release on Little Treasure hasn't surfaced yet ( any day now for sure ) in the meantime a preview track from the ep is on Sundae's Soundcloud. ( as well as the great Nixon cover I'm playing on today's mix ).

Strawberry Whiplash's "Stop Look & Listen" 7- inch ep on Matinee is a bit of a ( very juicy ) taster from their upcoming debut album 'Hits In The Car" - as they say in the classics 'can't wait for that one".

Also today we hear a few songs from the SEA Indie scene - Serenaide from their 2004 "The Other End Of The Receiver" album on Fruit Records ( which I think has folded ), Talkless who are from Thailand & Taman Kota from Indonesia from an upcoming release on Shiny Happy Records, who will also release the Burrrn track we're playing today soon ( they are from Japan ) on an ep called "Artistic Destruction & Construction".

The SEA Indie blog has also put out a new collaborative Filipino comp with Pop Scene Manila, another great collection of Filipino pop, which you can grab here.

Always BUY music and support bands and labels :)

Please enjoy this little mix :)

•• Bloom Like Roses - Sci Fi Caper
•• Too Young ( demo vers ) - We.The Pigs
•• Jennifer's Brother - Model Railway Exhibition
•• Miss Holiday - Talkless
•• Burn Burn Burn - Burning Hearts
•• Sometimes - Taman Kota
•• Look At Us - Obedient Wives Club
•• Flirtation - Burrrn
•• In The Blink Of An Eye - Strawberry Whiplash
•• Climbing Walls ( Nixon Cover ) - Sundae
•• Hungry Hippo's - The Sunny Street
•• The Sweetest - Serenaide

In Spite Of These Times ( aka Too Bloody Stupid )

Due to ongoing hassles about copyright. sadly I am having to put this blog into temporary freeze while I figure what to do.

I don't wish to end up in legal trouble, so have to stop while I figure it all out.

Humans Beware, the predecessor of this blog, has been taken offline totally - not by me - by someone who has complained about copyright infringement.

What disappoints me is that at the end of the day I am nobody in the greater scheme of things, just some obscure guy from Australia, and not a threat to the future of the universe.

For now I'm thinking about the options for continuing, so all is not lost....just figuring out what to do.

To everyone that has supported me and everyone who has listened and enjoyed the music, a massive thanks.
